Google Images Ads Featured

Written by Thom Henderson
Its quite funny that it took this long to bring the Adwords platform onto Google’s images website. The text based ads have been the big money spinner for Google over the last decade but they really need to expand their advertising to make even more money without damaging the quality of the content.

imageadsThese ads are surely going to bring in tons of cash. The example shown in the link here is of a Converse sneakers ad, which is full length banner across the top of the search results. These ads are rich in quality and in content. The viewer could easily and happily follow this link even though they are probably just looking for an image. Here is where the problem may lie.

People are just looking for an image to show someone else or to use themselves. This is not necessarily a search function else they would just use the normal Google.com. This however will do a great lot for brand exposure but I still feel this is lost to the big corporations and massive companies that do not need that kind of exposure. Like it or not, Google ads and their new platforms are being lost to the biggest companies driving what is left of customers from a small entrepreneur to the massive multinational.

At the moment these Google image ads are only available in the US and the UK where the majority of search and online ecommerce is conducted. This huge testing area will show off the results, but we can expect nothing other than excellent results from this Adwords platform. The Google images ads run just like Display Ads where you select the Google Images network on the placement and targeting tool.

More excellent statistic to mull over brings us that bit closer to advertising on all of google’s multiple platforms. Next blog will be on Googles fashion sense, watch this space.
