Plastic surgery has become increasingly popular over the last decade and includes both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. The negative image that might once have been attached to cosmetic surgery has now changed and it has become acceptable in almost all circles.
Plastic surgery solutions include breast surgery, male cosmetic procedures, liposuction, tummy tuck, facial rejuvenation and many others. Breast surgery includes breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction or a combination of two of these procedures in order to ensure maximum results. Hair transplants are common procedures for men, and involve harvesting an ellipse of skin from one’s own donor site and dividing into mini and micro-grafts containing two to five hair follicles per graft. These grafts are transplanted into the scalp in the pre-planned distribution. The procedure takes two to three hours, and the surgery is performed under conscious sedation with local anesthetic infiltration, on a day-basis.
Tattoo removal also fall into this category and can be accomplished by Laser therapy or by plastic surgery. Laser therapy often requires multiple sessions. Certain pigments respond better to the Laser exposure than other pigments. Typically, blue and black respond well whereas red, green and yellow respond poorly. Surgical removal is usually a single session intervention. It removes the tattoo completely but inevitably leaves scars. The procedure is often done under local anesthesia. Laser could also be performed in a detached facility under topical anesthetic and/or sedation. Recovery is prompt and depends on the size of the surgery, and you can be back at work by the following day.
