Based in Vanderbijlpark, they are the leading supplier of construction, engineering and manufacturing in the Vaal Triangle.
With nearly forty years of legacy behind them since their inception in 1976, Rapid Scaffolding prides itself on its service offering. They erect, hire and dismantle scaffolding to the customer’s requirement on a contractual basis. All this is handled by extremely well trained and competent staff members that are well versed with the requirements of their clients. In terms of safety, the company has achieved a Three Star NOSA rating and is currently working towards an ISO 18001 certification.
Rapid Scaffolding prides itself on its Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment initiatives, with 30% black equity. The founder directors Roy Russel and Malcolm Pipe are still very active in the company today along with Lazarus Ramoba. The company has nurtured a close working relationship with giant industry players such as Murray & Roberts Building, Murcoms, Rapp & Maister and A Gibbs. Rapid Scaffolding’s past endeavours proudly include the supply and erection of scaffolding at most of the Hyperama buildings in Gauteng, The Company was proud of its responsibility and achievement of rebuilding the Sappi Ngodwana Plant after a large explosion at the premises; as 24 hour operation at this site was a prerequisite for the contract. The AngloGold’s ERGO operations tender was awarded to Rapid Scaffolding, which remained in operation for more than two decades.
